A two times lottery winner Amy McCauley was amazed when she received a call from her daughter, Kimberley, telling her that she had just won $100,000 on the lotto. After winning twice Amy never thought anyone else in her family would win as well.
Kimberly’s mum, Amy, first won on the lottery in the early ’90s. She landed a massive $15.5 million pay-out that was given to her in annuity cheques over a 20 year period.
Then ten years later, in 2007, Amy had another incredible strike of good luck. With another lottery win, this time for $161,172, it seemed that Amy was one of the luckiest people in North Carolina.
What’s more her wins continued after this. She went on to win two further one thousand dollar prizes from the state lottery. These amazing wins saw her become a television celebrity after appearing on the Oprah how.
Amy’s amazing luck must have past to her daughter. Both women arrived at the lottery headquarters to collect the younger woman’s prize. Mother and daughter arrived at Raleigh in North Carlolina seemingly un-fazed by their amazing luck.
Ryan Kennemur, a spokesperson for the North Carolina Education Lottery stated that mother and daughter were completely at ease when they arrived to claim their big prize. He told a news crew that one would think that winning a third time seemed to be almost a normal thing for the women.
When asked what she planned to do with her huge win Kim merely replied that she wanted to pay off personal debts and buy herself a British made Mini Cooper.
