what’s up George my name is YouTube it actually snowed a lot here yesterday as you may have seen on my snapchat but now it’s like 40 degrees so it’s melting super fast and I’m going to try to get a video in in the middle of a very busy day there is so much homework in college sweet Jesus as many of you know I did my final review on the event style 112 the link will be in the description if you missed that one and I hyped up the next pair of shoes that I got there’s a box I’m finally getting through it they are the HUS Cromer’s in leather I’ve been told all my life do not get leather skate shoes so I decided to get some leather skate shoes find out for myself and let you guys know what I find so this is a skate test and initial impressions video of the leather cuff chromers we’re going to see is leather skate shoes really suck or not let’s do it [Music] [Music] Wow initial impression number one leather is sexy let’s see if it’s worth it on how it affects skateboarding though that’s very important also love drawing the YouTube logo I don’t know why I put this on my wall he pauses within the post Malone ok pre skating impressions are issues look so sick but the leather does feel a little bit stiffer out of the box I am anticipating a longer break-in period for the leather compared to suede but we’ll see now let’s go skate these things for the first time ever it’s pretty wet now trying to fuck up my shoes on day one [Music] not the best but we got enough to work with I’m pretty much going to just do my normal warm-up but focus on slick tricks to see how the leather handles that [Music] that lady in the car gave me a thumbs up all right I’ve done like two tricks but holy shit they feel good so far I’m excited to try the kickflip also the laces seems super durable I forgot to mention that they’re like round it off okay the flick definitely feels a little weird so far that kickflip was like in slow motion also the switch front shove was for one of you guys [Music] sorry Nora switch heels coming up for one of you good people thanks for the comments by the way guys fuckin sexy that’s what shows booty what it counts anyways I have done that one before but I’ve never done switch varial heel as always I’m trying to progress so let’s try it out [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] did to switch varial heels first ones ever even though they were a little floppy progression always makes me feel good so I feel good right now I’m happy can’t wait to tell you guys about the shoes but I got to do some homework real quick you guys don’t have to come for that choose initial impression let’s go [Music] keep on like signing off because I got so wet oh yeah I’m back here again you think y’all muddy sky is looking sexy I peace out guys okay guys let’s talk about the leather huff chromers and my initial impressions on how that skate session went first let’s assess the damage after that flat ground session and that little other skate session at the DIY spot okay yeah I unfortunately got some mud on them already skating in the winter be like that so here’s how they look you can kind of see the leather starting to flex right here just a little bit with the way my foot bends here’s the left shoe where I do my kick flips we have the first signs of wear on the toe cap it actually looks like most of the flick went right to the toe cap because I don’t even see any wear on the leather over on the side here you can see just a little bit of wear along this seam and some scuffing just barely noticeable probably from Ollie’s here’s a switch shoe yeah I was working on those switch varial heels so that’s probably what all this is from and a little more damage right there and the bottoms nowhere yet as expected so what do I think first thing I noticed from opening the box putting them on and stepping on the skateboard is these leather Cromer’s are sexy I honestly think that when I feel that way about my shoes my confidence goes up and my skidding gets better so that’s definitely a good thing oh by the way thank you to the people who commented the switch front shove and the switch heel trick request because that’s what led me to try the switch varial heel and yeah as for the leather they’re performing pretty typically in terms of wear as you saw here is the most extreme wear but it’s really just like scuffing and nothing like really through the shoes the shoes definitely felt more slippery than usual and it was pretty annoying but it wasn’t that bad I was able to adapt got my kick flips down was able to progress by learning the switch varial heel they still definitely felt a little uncomfortable in terms of slipperiness like I definitely just noticed my feet sliding more than I’m used to when I flick and even with like no complies however I’m very confident that the leather aspect of it is something that I will get used to I am curious to see how it continues to wear down and that’s something that I’ll address when these shoes are about to die I’ll do the full review and we’ll address that what else ok I got to say there was one big downside with these shoes and I’m not sure if it’s the chromers in general or because of the leather these things were pretty uncomfortable this edge right here is pretty hard and it actually irritated my ankle like when it press up against here and it was a little painful same with the back of the heel it’s just like super hard you know I’m fresh off the van style 1:12 sore it’s like such a comfortable shoe and super soft around there it was definitely pretty annoying and like even just the whole toe area it’s very stocky and just definitely less comfortable now I can’t be sure if that’s just because they’re brand new shoes because it’s often the case that shoes will feel really uncomfortable and even hurt your feet but once they break in they’ll be prime so I’m gonna have to get back to you guys on that another kind of downside which I was not expecting is for some reason even the bottom felt more slippery we’re going to have to see how that plays out as they break in more that’s pretty much my initial impression of the leather Hough Cromer in general the leather is not that bad I was able to get all my tricks down however it’s definitely weird definitely slippery and they’re a bit stocky and I’m comfortable compared to the vans I obviously had so I definitely have unanswered questions that I’m going to have to see what happens when these are fully broken in it’s pretty much the full answer the leather suck for skateboarding shoes I currently don’t know it seems like it’s different but I’m confident I can get used to it if there’s any shoes you want me to try out I’ll look at all your requests see what I like I got a lot of requests for the Vance Kyle walkers they’re like sold out everywhere but I’m trying to get them to test them out if you have any other ideas leave it down below also if you’re interested link to where I got these shoes is in the description yeah if you enjoyed this video make sure you give it a thumbs up leave all your feedback in the comments down below and subscribe for videos every three days thank you guys so much peace out whoa that’s some coping right there oh yeah all right last one Oh

in this video I’m going to show you how to polish and shine some leather shoes my name is how to Bob and these are the shoes that I’m going to shine as you can see they’re old work shoes they haven’t been polished or cleaned up in a long long time but I’m going to bring new life to these shoes first thing I’m going to do is put some gloves on because shoe polish will stain your hands so I’ll make sure I am protected and I’m going to show you some of the things that I have here for polishing shoes notice that I have a bunch of different colors of Polish some are blue some are tan I also have brown so you want to match up the color of the Polish to the color of the leather now you’ll notice that I have also some mink oil and what that is is waterproofing that you can put on after you polish your shoes this is just more protectant to keep your shoes in good shape I also have a neutral which you can use if you can’t find a color that matches your leather so you could use this to polish your shoes some of these other products here that I have are for quick touch-ups I don’t recommend using them for everyday polishing or getting a good polish but for your every once in a while you know just to get a little scuff off your shoes or to add a little shine you can use these quick touch-up kits here also I have several different kinds of buffing pads and brushes that I use these are horsehair brushes and they really work good for getting a good shine on your shoes typically we’ll use the larger brushes covers a better area so I’m going to get started I’m going to use the black polish here and I got a rag some of my can of polish and what I’m going to do is take my rag and go around in a circular motion what this does is heats the polish or waxy part of the Polish up and gets it more liquefied so that it’ll spread onto the leather a little bit better it’ll get into the cracks and crevices of the shoe a little bit better I’m going to start off at the right shoe and I’ll just do the right shoe and at the end I will compare the two shoe so you can see that before and after of polishing your shoes polishing the shoes is real easy just rub the Polish into the leather and it moisturizes it makes it last longer so to get into the cracks in the areas that are hard to reach I’m going to use my toothbrush and just rub along the edges that will work the Polish into the cracks and hard-to-reach places and once I get done with all of that I’m going to wait about 10 minutes for the wax and polish to dry and then I get a clean rag and I’m going to wipe off all the polish and just kind of rub keep rubbing all the Polish comes off and once I get all the polish off the shoe I’m going to use a clean brush and work around all the areas and cracks that I worked into before and I can clean my brush here and then go back to you know working all the cracks and crevices get all the Polish out once I’m done with that I’m going to use my horsehair brush and kind of go over the shoe and buff it to a nice high shine and you can see it coming to life the shine on the shoe is so much greater than the Oh shoe it is now protected its moisturized the leather it looks so much better than the other shoe you can see the side-by-side and this will make your shoes last a whole lot longer as you can see it’s fairly simple to do and it makes it last a lot longer this is how to Bob thanks for watching
Hey! Matt here in the Detail Garage. We’re kind of in the middle of filming this Winter Prep video for your car. And I figured I’d take a second to tell you our products work on things other than your
car. I’ll show you how to prep your boots for winter. I just bought these leather boots, they’re nice and new, and I want to keep them
looking good. I’ll use some Leather Cleaner. This is our Leather Cleaner in a Professional
Bottle. Spray it on a towel to wipe off all the gunk
and grime. I have been wearing these out the last couple
days. It’s starting to rain here in SoCal, so I want to make sure I have my boots prepped so they’ll stay looking good for a long time. They weren’t super cheap! Clean off all the leather. You can see all this dirt starting to come
off with just a couple passes. It’s not exactly rocket science… I use this on all leather. You can use this on leather seats in your
car, you can use it on leather bags, fine suitcases, purses, stick bags, wallets, you can use this on anything that’s leather. We like to use yellow towels because the dye
doesn’t bleed. You can use these on your nice leather and there won’t be any problem. This boot is looking nice and clean. To clean the rubber sole, I’m going to use Lightning Fast Stain Extractor. This is mainly designed for upholstery and
fabric, but it works great on things like rubber. It’s great for whitewalls on your tires, so if you have an old car, and white rubber soles! Look at all that! Now the boot is nice and clean! Even the sole is nice and clean. Now we’re gonna protect the leather. To do that, I’m going to use our Leather Serum. Leather Conditioner is like lotion for leather. Serum is like heavier duty sunscreen and a
sealant. It actually seals and protects your leather
from UV sun, dirt, oil, moisture, it’s great to seal your leather before wintertime. I’ll take a blue applicator and just use two
dots, that’s all I need to do the whole boot. That’s enough for the entire boot! I’ll just dab it out over the whole surface… …make sure you get it on the tongue… …and then work it in. That’s it! Let it sit for a minute, then buff off any
excess with a towel, put the laces back on, and you’re good to go for the winter! Now all I need is a witty tagline… …and I’ll be a YouTube Superstar! ;O)

Shoemaking is the process of making footwear. Originally, shoes were made one at a time by hand. Traditional handicraft shoemaking has now been largely superseded in volume of shoes produced by industrial mass production of footwear, but not necessarily in quality, attention to detail, or craftsmanship.
Shoemakers or cordwainers (cobblers being, historically, those who repair shoes) may produce a range of footwear items, including shoes, boots, sandals, clogs and moccasins. Such items are generally made of leather, wood, rubber, plastic, jute or other plant material, and often consist of multiple parts for better durability of the sole, stitched to a leather upper.
